Are you bright red or sunny yellow?
In ancient Greece, it was believed that a person’s appearance could tell what kind of person they were. For example, they were convinced that a person with a large forehead was very intelligent. What if you had a long neck? That was a sign of laziness. Today, we use psychological tests to decipher a person’s personality. The DISC method is one example.
Personality
You have probably noticed that everyone acts differently in groups. Some people take on the role of leader in a project while others take notes and get coffee for the rest of the group. The role each person plays depends on their personality – and that of the other members of the group. Your personality is a reflection of your construction and includes everything you feel, think or do.
The colors of the DISC method
Did you know that you can describe your personality through colors? This is what we call the DISC method. DISC stands for :
D: Dominance
I : Induction
S : Submission
C: Compliance
Psychologist William Maston invented the DISC method and mapped out the four most prominent behavioral styles of people, with corresponding emotions. He translated these four behavioral styles into colors. Do you want to know which color corresponds to your personality? You can read it below.
Bright red

With the D of dominance comes the color red. People with this communication style are self-confident, result-oriented and assertive. They do not avoid confrontation and are not afraid to take risks. They can be overly direct in stressful situations, which makes them appear arrogant. When meeting new people, they give a firm handshake, make direct eye contact and speak in a loud voice.
